Structural Rehabilitation for Enhanced Stability and System Longevity

The Santa Ynez Pumping Plant Surge Tank Pedestal Replacement project addressed critical structural upgrades to ensure the long-term stability and performance of the pumping infrastructure. Located at 2800 Mesa Verde Road in Santa Ynez, CA, the project involved demolition of deteriorated concrete pedestals and the careful disassembly and safe storage of surge tanks and associated piping systems. New pedestals were constructed to precise specifications, with access stairs and reinforcements added to optimize functionality. Following reconstruction, surge tanks and piping were reinstalled, tested, and coated with protective finishes to prevent corrosion, extending the infrastructure’s service life and performance reliability.

  • Demolition: Removal of existing pedestals and associated access structures.
  • Reconstruction: Precision construction of new concrete pedestals and access stairs.
  • Disassembly and Storage: Safe removal and storage of surge tanks and piping systems.
  • Reinstallation: Reassembly and functional testing of surge tanks and piping systems.
  • Finishing: Application of protective coatings to surge tanks and piping for corrosion resistance.
